Disclaimer: What This Site Is and Is Not
Roofing enquiry service for Peterborough, Stamford, Spalding, Wisbech and Huntingdon.
An enquiry service, not a roofer. Roofing Peterborough passes enquiries to independent roofing firms. We do not carry out roofing work, and any agreement for work is between you and the firm you choose.
Firms are not inspected or approved. We do not inspect the firms we pass enquiries to, confirm their insurance or qualifications, or approve their workmanship. Please make your own checks; our guide on how to choose a roofer explains how.
Cost figures are estimates, not quotes. The prices in our cost guides are researched estimates drawn from published UK sources and compared against one another. What a particular job costs depends on your roof, its access and condition, and the firm doing the work.
About the insurance guide. Our guide to roof leaks and home insurance is general information, not advice. It describes how UK buildings policies commonly treat roof damage and how the Financial Ombudsman Service has described its approach to storm claims. It is not advice about your policy, and it does not say that any leak will be paid for. Your policy wording decides that, and your insurer, your broker or an independent adviser is the right person to ask about your own claim.
The liability section is general information, not legal advice. The part of our guide to choosing a roofer that covers who is liable if a roofer is hurt on your property summarises, in general terms, the Work at Height Regulations 2005, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and the Occupiers' Liability Act 1957. Nothing in that section is legal advice. If someone has been injured or you are facing a claim, speak to a solicitor or to Citizens Advice.
Planning and conservation details. Information on this site about conservation areas, listed buildings and Article 4 directions is summarised from the published material of Peterborough City Council and neighbouring councils, and it may be out of date by the time you read it. Ask the council that covers your address before any work is ordered.
No visit times. We are not the roofer, so we cannot promise when a firm will visit. Send an enquiry outside working hours and you will get a call back on the next working day.
